In my recent blog, I wrote about how to use an Apple iPhone or iPad as a remote clicker and how great it is. Well, what happens when your internet connection goes down and your remote clicker no longer works? Below are quick and easy suggestions you might think about to prevent a presentation disaster.
- Have your presentation backed up on your iPhone or iPad. This allows you to be mobile with the security of your notes. This will be featured in a future blog.
- Have a remote clicker like the ones from Logitech. These remote clickers work great and usually are equipped with a laser pointer. Having both the clicker and your iPhone/iPad can be a little cumbersome but it still allows you to be mobile.
- Print your presentation with notes as a safety precaution. Nothing beats good old fashioned 8.5 X 11 paper with a printed presentation. Going this route is a no-fail, prepared for the end-of-the world way of not having to rely on an internet connection.
Conclusion: Be prepared to use technology for your presentation and have a backup plan if your technology doesn’t work.
