Westside Community Schools continues to enhance the way staff members communicate together by obtaining new skills through Adaptive Schools. As a systems leading District, it is important to be able to communicate and collaborate with co-workers to meet the needs of all students and staff. Adaptive Schools is a four day training that leads you through the differences of a dialogue and decision, the seven norms of collaboration, energy sources for high-performing groups, and training tips for presenting. Two cohorts of teachers and administrators will receive the professional learning opportunity during 2016 – 2017 school year. Sessions are led by Susan Presler and Kira McLean who provide strategies and communication skills for all staff members to be leaders in their buildings. We are excited to share 150 staff members have been trained over the last two years for WCS and we have welcomed participants from Papillion La Vista Community Schools, Millard Public Schools, and Ames (IA) Community Schools.
